TWO PROJECTS MAFO – IMOGEP, AMONG THE BEST BUILDINGS OF 2016

The World Architecture Festival, held this year in Berlin (November 16-18), is the world’s largest event in this area each year involved more than 2,000 architects from 60 countries all interested in demonstrating the most innovative and extraordinary buildings built in recent months. For three days, attendees participate in conferences, seminars and tours to architects, as well as live reviews of 411 projects shortlisted for WAF Awards 2016.

CIVIC CENTRES CATEGORY:

Santa Margarida de Montbui

In this category there is one of our projects, the cultural center Montàgora in Santa Margarida de Montbui (Barcelona), designed by the architect Pere Puig Igualada. The building includes a library, a music school and an auditorium, which occupies a work central.It is also a work:

  • Finalist in International Awards for Architecture WAN AWARDS 2015 in the category of civic buildings.
  • Among the works mentioned in the 7th Exhibition of Architecture of the Central Regions.
  • Special mention in ArchitizerA & Awards in the category of institutional buildings, and local government received last April.
  • Nominated for the German Design Awards 2017.

CATEGORY OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH:

Campus Castellolí

The other nominated building, also made with the architect Pere Puig is the Campus Motor Castellolí. The building is linked to a racetrack located in the municipality of the same name, in the province of Barcelona, and for the training of professionals and engine companies to investigate in this sector.
